Medium height, wheel thrown stoneware raku vessel with a “velvet” appearance. Brilliant, colorful patterns result from a complicated process that includes spraying a flammable substance on the hot surface of vessels that have been high fired with a copper wash. Each piece will vary slightly from image shown.
